I find it helpful to monitor my Drive Block's Gear, particularly when larger prints and higher temperatures lead to massive heat buildup in the Stepper motor. This often results in significant material remaining within the Extruder Gear, making a quick clean essential without disassembling. I modified the Lever accordingly while printing, incorporating airflow from a can to temporarily cool everything down. The updated Lever proves sturdy despite its simplicity; the Spring should ideally have just the right tension not to press excessively on the Stepper motor (causing added heat and material sticking issues). Additionally, the lever design enables improved airflow, facilitating efficient heat dissipation. In some instances, pointing another fan directly at the glued heatsink on the Stepter's back end produces undesirable results. I anticipate this modification will enhance controllability within my prints. The addition of the Left Lever enhances overall usability. Lastly, version V16 has been added, offering potential incorporation of a 3mm x 2mm PTFE tube to minimize Lever abrasion and optimize Filament guidance. The secondary hole accommodates an adjustable feature, details for which will follow in photos later.
