MK8 CTC silicone mold for SLA Printing
thingiverse
I optimized and tailored the MK8 CTC silicone mold designed by atriOo for seamless SLA printing on my photon. I carefully hollowed out the design, strategically added suction prevention holes to prevent warping, incorporated functional drain holes for excess material, angled the mold for improved part release, and integrated sturdy supports to ensure stability during printing. The final result is a 14.5g / 13.2 ml mold that's incredibly cost-effective - I managed to produce it for just $0.53 using Anycubic translucent resin at a mere $40 per liter. Printing time was an impressive 3 hours and 23 minutes, with a layer thickness of 0.05 mm. To ensure successful part release, remember to plug the drain hole after printing or simply cut off the small nubbin that forms during mold creation. Fellow Tevo Tornado owners, this mold is specifically designed for our heatblock - it's a game-changer!
