The assembly of this setup provides 158mm Z-axis height. To achieve this, I made a modification moving the rear supports 30mm out. If needed, I will post the files for this mod. The process involves printing both parts, sanding ends for smooth fit, and using CA glue to join them. Apply glue one edge at a time for proper adhesion. Bearings used are 623; drill 1/8 inch holes for smoothing. Left holes on the outside for easy access to inner most holes. Dremel was used to grind bolt head slightly due to limited space. Pan head bolts could have avoided this. The outer holes were slightly elongated for better bearing fit on 8mm shafts. Belt attachment point is generic, accommodating various belts. Sketch up files are available for modifications. The finished product operates smoothly. To install the MK7 mounting plate, trim it to match carriage width (80mm) and attach using two bolts.
