MK7 Geared Extruder

MK7 Geared Extruder

thingiverse

This experimental extruder features an MK7, no bearings or hobbed bolt. Though not finalized, it performs well. The design incorporates two large gears, with the top M5 having a hole on its top and the bottom M5 on its bottom; both function properly. For Smartrap usage, utilize the long bowden guide from this link: https://github.com/smartfriendz/smartrap/blob/master/stl/dev/V0.4.7/bowden_guide.stl. Calibrate your e-steps (currently M92 E528 in custom startup gcode). Additional components needed are a 5mm MK7 shaft, an idler's 608 bearing, 8-9 cm M5 threaded rod, M5 nuts, various lengths of M3 screws and nuts, and M3 washers.
