This tool was designed for cutting MK7/MK6 driving gears on a small lathe. It requires two 7/16" ID bearings (McMaster 2780T56) and a 7/16" 304 stainless steel rod (89535K173) for hobbing. To print the necessary components, you need to produce one holder and two collars at 100% filled. A M3 tap is used for hobbing with a depth of cut about 0.1mm. On a small lathe, this process takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
