mk7 ball bearing extruder drive

mk7 ball bearing extruder drive

The Mk7 is simplicity personified, but I prefer ball bearing idler extruders over delrin plungers due to reduced friction and easy tension release. To enhance this design, try our new experimental version featuring a nut recess for the tensioner (mk7-lever-drive-tension-nut.stl). Separately print parts or plates with quick release options. Remove support from the lever, body, and quick release, drilling 3mm holes if possible. Install a 623 bearing with a 3mm x 10mm screw, followed by the quick-release pin and 3mm x 20mm screw. Assemble and tighten the tensioner until stepper misses steps while holding filament.
