MK3S/MK3S+ LCD Display Cover
prusaprinters
This was quickly put together to solve the problem of blocking the LCD when I don't want the light it emits.Unlike some of the other designs, this shouldn't leak light around the edges as the plate has 2 tiers, the first that fits nicely inside the LCD cover's aperture, and the second which fits over it. In order to make this an easy to print model without supports, the plate is printed upside down, and the knob is printed and attaches separately.I was prepared to use super-glue to attach the knob to the plate, but, the prints happen to click confidently together into place, negating the need for any adhesive. YMMV.There are STLs and GCode for both the MK3S (85mm width LCD aperture) and the MK3S+ (79.75mm width LCD aperture). The knob is the same for both models. The sliced GCode has 100% infill (remember, we're trying to block light =) and 0.20mm layer height. This is designed to print perfectly without supports (and it does).I've also included the design files as its native Fusion 360 format and as a STEP file.
