MK3S+ Filament Holder Top-mount
prusaprinters

A double spool holder for the top of your MK3S+.

Requires:

8 - 608 Skateboard Bearings

Assembly Instructions:

Print Plate 1 and Plate 2. Mount the bearings onto the rods and secure with printed C-Clips. Mount the arms on the top of your printer, all the way to the outside and directly in the center. Drop in the rod and bearing assemblies, and adjust the arms until everything is lined up. Drop in the center piece. Cut 3 pieces of Orange filament (or any other color you want) approx. 7.50" [190mm]. Thread the filament to form 3 guides through the holes on top. You don't have to install all three, it's driver's choice. Print Plate 4 for the arm caps. They would fit on one of the other plates, but warped when I printed everything all at once. This is what worked for me.

If you don't need or want two rolls of filament up there at one time, you can simply omit the center arm and two rollers, or print my other single cradle remix with slightly wider rollers that will hold Prusa's wide PETG rolls. This setup also holds those wide PETG rolls, but only one sitting in the middle position.
