<p><i>Sick of sub-par but working cooling? Why not tinker a bit?</i>&nbsp;</p><p>This fan duct allows mounting a 40mm axial fan to the Prusa MK3S(+).&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Things to note:</strong></p><ul><li>MK3S fans are 5V, though 24V can be accessed through the power supply directly or pin1 of the PI connector. (YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING)</li><li>Fan speed check can produce errors with non-stock fans. Can be disabled in settings.</li><li>Stock firmware occasionally revs the fan to 100% for a few ms on low RPM. Disabling requires recompiling &amp; flashing. (YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING)</li><li>Axial fans usually have BAD static pressure, leading to bad performance for part-cooling.</li></ul><p><strong>Materials:</strong></p><ul><li>M3 screws measuring the thickness of your fan + 5-10mm.&nbsp;</li><li>Screws and nuts from the stock fan duct.</li></ul><p><strong>Printing &amp; Assembly:</strong></p><ul><li>Use PETG or more heat resistant material.</li><li>Check preview for the quality of thin edges at the outlet.</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Way too loud with a high flow fan.</li><li>Electronics a bit more tricky than I liked.</li><li><a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5277362">Went back to this dual fan solution.</a></li><li>Learn from my mistakes, leave a like and be on your way.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
