CAUTION: THIS UPGRADE HASN'T BEEN TESTED YET AND REQUIRES SOME FIRMWARE ADJUSTMENT (take a look at the link below to have the best chances of success) If you try it, please comment your thoughts. Hi, I planned to upgrade my MK3S Bear with linear rail, just like the Watterott upgrade for the regular MK3/S but for Bear. This is designed to keep the Z height exactly the same. I created this from the rod holder by pekcitron and the Watterott model for "template". Should be printed as it is with support. (Integrated supports since V2) Follow the instructions given in the link below to mount it. https://learn.watterott.com/3d-printer/mk3-y-upgrade/assembly/ Hardware needed: V slot mounting: Same as rod holder by pekcitron Rail and carriage mounting: 10x M3x10mm Rails: 1x 330mm + 2 MGN12C carriages 1x 330mm + 1 MGN12C carriage If you want to buy Hiwin rail directly, consider buying it here to support Watterott: https://shop.watterott.com/Y-axis-upgrade-kit-for-Prusa-MK3 I hope you'll enjoy it and if you like it, don't hesitate to throw a tip to support me. EDIT 27/06/2020: I added a build helper; it needs to be 80.75mm to set the rails at the exact position as the "original" rods, and also bring in a V2 of the support with integrated support to have better precision. EDIT 15/07/2020: I changed the design a bit to help keeping printing area; I deleted the two previous versions.
