MK3 R3 mosquito mount
thingiverse
This mount is designed specifically for use with the MK3 + Mosquito Hotend from Slice Engineering.\r\n\r\n+++++++\r\nUPDATE: The latest V3 version has undergone small modifications to accommodate the metal adapter from Printedsolid, making it compatible. All earlier versions of this mount have been removed.\r\n\r\nThe printed adapters available are not yet perfect but will function adequately. You may need to drill a larger hole for the PTFE tube to fit in. This issue will be resolved shortly.\r\n\r\nFor more information on the metal adapter, please visit https://www.printedsolid.com/products/groove-mount-coupling-with-tapped-holes-for-slice-engineering-mosquito-hotend\r\n\r\n+++++++\r\nUPDATE: The latest V2 version is now available with a few minor changes. Version 1 should also work effectively.\r\n\r\nThe modifications include:\r\n1. An adapter that is 2mm longer.\r\n2. A more stable screw mount for the Mosquito, allowing you to use both original screws instead of just one.\r\n3. Increased space for easier insertion of the Mosquito with the adapter.\r\n4. Reduced tolerance between screw holes, resulting in a snugger fit for the Mosquito.\r\n\r\nAlthough I haven't personally printed or tested V2, it should function well. Please let me know if you find all improvements satisfactory or if there's anything that needs improvement.\r\n\r\nI have added three pictures of V2.\r\n\r\n+++++++\r\n\r\nThis mount still requires thorough testing. If you're brave enough to test this mount, please leave a comment on how it works and what needs improvement. Unfortunately, I'm unable to continue testing personally as I'm currently on holiday with my wife and kids, but I'll be available to make any necessary changes if needed. The STEP files are also available for anyone who wants to work with them (Warning: I converted the MK3 R3 Dyson STL into solid bodies, which may have a lot of triangles that could be challenging to work with).\r\n\r\nFor your reference, the original STEP file for the MK3 R3 mount, which I converted from STL, can be found here\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3017968
