MK3 MMU2S IR-Sensor Light Block
thingiverse
This is an Adhoc design to address what I believe may be an issue with the calibration of the latest IR sensor when it's paired with the MMU to upgrade the entire printer to MMU2S. A slight update has been made as the cover appeared not to sit correctly; please exercise caution with the IR board, as it is not robust. Additionally, some changes have been implemented regarding the board height. The IT-SET 0.3.stl file remains a testing version. I hypothesize that perhaps the sensor is being affected by light entering through the arch that the gear cover upright swings through; therefore, I've decided to test this now with an additional light block by covering over the arch without causing any collision. Furthermore, I felt that it should be possible to unscrew the chimney and easily unplug the sensor without encountering any wiring issues; thus, a slot has been created for the sensor wire to pass through, adjacent to a close-fitting slot at the rear.
