Mjölnir - Thor's Hammer Amulet/Necklace
prusaprinters
Here's a model of Mjölnir, Thor's Hammer ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mjölnir), scaled to the same size as an artefact found at Bredsätra in Öland, Sweden that's about 1,000 years old. Not quite up to the same standards of workmanship, but it'll do for a start. There is a hole for a cord in the handle, and the SCAD file is parametric so you can easily change it's size and shape without altering the size of the cord hole.InstructionsNo need for support, but you might need exterior brim. Don't use interior brim or you'll cover up the detail.I intended this to be printed in metallic silver PLA but thought I might try using clear PLA as a "lost wax" core and cast it in pewter. So I cased it with plaster, baked the PLA out, and poured molten pewter in - the cast turned out fantastic. Just the thing for Heavy Metal! Unfortunately someone at the exhibition thought it was cool enough to walk off with, which is acclamation of a sort, so no photos.
