Modified the seed holes to be smaller and added a lip, hoping that water would stay in the base and not rise up the connector pipe. Unsure about its effectiveness though. Also employed the roof threads from Alzibiff's design to craft a funnel cap. Cut a bottle in half, threaded on the cap and now have a convenient funnel to fill the birdfeeder bottle with. The pink base is due to my young daughter; yes, I do have one. Initially thought it might scare off the birds but they seem to have no problem with it.
