Miwok II, Rottnest Island
sketchfab
The 33 x 13 metre barge was deliberately sunk and repurposed by the Special Air Service Regiment in 1983 at the behest of the Museum, which sought an alternative location to the RMS Orizaba for underwater demolitions training by SASR and NAVY divers. A former crane barge that once served construction duties for Hamersley Iron in Dampier now rests in 11 metres of water off Bickley Point, largely overlooked by local divers. Very limited information has been available about this wreck site.
