This stylus slides onto the user's hand and can be used to control a touch screen. Sometimes called a 6th digit stylus (or 6th finger stylus), this device can help those with limited finger and hand control to access common touch screen devices such as smartphones tablets. Used like a stylus pen, but fits on the user's hand, often around the knuckles.

If this type of stylus isn't for you, check out our palm grip stylus or our ring stylus instead!

IMPORTANT make sure to print this stylus with a conductive filament such as the Proto-pasta Electrically Conductive Composite PLA.

You must purchase the stylus tips separately, we used these ones from Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06X9JQXK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Other stylus tips will also work, but the size of the hole may need to be adjusted.

Print Settings

Material: Electrically conductive PLA
Infill: 15%
Resolution: 0.25mm
Supports: No
Rafts: No

Post Printing

After printing, screw the stylus tip into the end of the stylus.

Made in the Rehabilitation Engineering department at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation
Part of the Horizon Health Network
Learn more about our centre here.
