Mitsubishi Regional Jet is the very first type of plane designed and built in Japan for fifty years. This aircraft family has two main models: the MRJ90 and the smaller MRJ70, both powered by powerful Pratt and Whitney PW1000G series engines. MRJs are put together at Nagoya Air Field, which is located near Komaki Airport. Some airlines have placed orders for these new planes, including ANA All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines, also known as J-Air. Eastern Airlines, SkyWest Airlines, Trans States Airlines, and Air Mandalay will also be getting MRJs in the future. In this particular model, you can see four of five test aircraft, including JA21MJ and JA24MJ painted in their original color scheme, JA22MJ sporting a bold red version, and JA23MJ with its sleek black livery on display. A fifth test aircraft is going to be finished up soon and will feature the iconic colors of ANA Airways. This model was created by using a custom MRJ template combined with some parts from the popular AirbusA330.
