This control shaft fits the hot-cold knob on a 2004-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer and should also work with similar models. It frequently breaks due to a design flaw that makes it hard to turn smoothly. A supposed recall is meant to fix this issue, but unfortunately it does not resolve the problem completely. The part is mounted vertically because printing the shaft walls would be challenging, however, this leads to a shear effect along the layers. If your printer can handle it, I recommend placing the control shaft horizontally to minimize the shear effect. When this first happened to me, I could only buy the entire unit for $400, so I created this workarounds to save money.
