The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, the last generation of the Lancer Evolution, is a sports sedan produced by Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors. In September 2005, Mitsubishi unveiled the Concept-X at the Tokyo Motor Show, designed by Omer Halilhodžić, and in 2007, the Prototype-X was displayed at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The sedan features a new 4B11T 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 GEMA engine that produces at least 280 PS. Two versions are available in the U.S.: the Lancer Evolution MR with a 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST) and the GSR with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car also has a new full-time four-wheel drive system, S-AWC, which uses torque vectoring technology to send different amounts of torque to the rear wheels. The Lancer Evolution X went on sale in Japan in October 2007, in the U.S. in January 2008, and in the UK by March 2008. A 2010 MR-Touring edition featured leather and a moonroof, along with a revised rear spoiler.
