Mitre Fixture

This fixture is designed specifically for cutting timber at a precise 45-degree angle. To use it, simply place it over the end of a square piece of wood. By employing two fixtures, you can effectively sandwich a wood saw blade and achieve a clean cut along the entire length of your cut. This setup is ideal for large squares of timber that cannot be cut with a single stroke from a circular saw. The model featured here is tailored to fit 95mm square timbers, while its 95.6mm gap accommodates for necessary tolerance – a crucial detail if you plan to scale the design for different sizes. When manufactured in PLA, this fixture weighs a mere 73 grams.
