Miter Lock Handle for Craftsman Chop Saw
prusaprinters
This is a 3-piece design that replicates and replaces the original handle of a Craftsman® mitering chop saw which locks the miter angle. You'll need to retrieve a bolt molded inside the original handle for use in this replacement. That bolt is dropped through the shell of the new handle so that the threads protrude through the end. Another piece, a locking insert which is keyed to the shell wall as well as the V-slot in the bolt head, is then placed inside the shell behind the bolt and, with some epoxy behind it, will lock the bolt in place so it cannot rotate with respect to the shell. A cap can then be placed on the end to trim it up.The shell should be printed with the smaller end facing down and using a raft. Print the insert with the v-protrusion facing up. The end cap can be printed on either side.
