Miter Fence Holder for Ryobi/Craftsman Table Saws

I'm replacing my miter fence holder on my Ryobi BT3000 clone table saw, a thin plastic part with sharp internal corners that's prone to cracking. No surprise there - it was only a matter of time before it gave up the ghost. Luckily, I found a replacement part at the link below, but I'm worried about its availability since it seems to be going out of production. To mitigate this risk, I decided to reverse-engineer the original part and improve upon its design. My new creation is sturdier and hopefully less prone to cracking than the original.
