Miter box for US 1.5-inch PVC pipe (50mm)
thingiverse
I designed this miter box to cut PVC pipe with an internal diameter of US 1.5 inches. In America, pipe diameters refer to the inside measurement, not the outside dimension. The external diameter is actually 48.6mm or roughly 1.9 inches. To make it globally-minded, I standardized the box's width at 50mm, which gives a tiny bit of wiggle room when using standard 1.5-inch pipe. However, this won't be a major concern since the ends need to be sanded down after cutting anyway. This miter box is designed for straight cuts as well as angled cuts of 15°, 30°, and 45°. Currently, I don't plan on creating one for 2-inch PVC pipe, but you can scale this design if needed. Keep in mind that scaling increases the size of gaps for the saw, which is why I made a separate file instead of scaling up the 1-inch version. If there's enough demand for a 2-inch miter box, I'll modify my original and make it available.
