Mirror Frame and Stand
thingiverse
I had a nice mirror on my desk for years until the flimsy plastic base gave way. Now I'm going to create a brand new base and it's going to utilize the old mirror in a clever way. This design is a test of my first snap-together joints, which have proven to be super effective. The front and back frames don't need any extra fasteners, making this project a breeze. Fits a 50mm x 74mm x 2mm mirror perfectly. https://youtu.be/ECOwTOIPbek After the video, I updated the files to reduce stringing on the front frame by moving the mirror recess to the back frame. This eliminated some of the overhang issues and made assembly easier without needing clamps. Additionally, I added 10 degrees of draft to the holes for the snap locks, making it simpler to start them up.
