MirCopter - 3D printable quadcopter drone
thingiverse
Hello, It took me a long time to finish and publish this project. I started working on it in September last year - after two weeks, I was holding the first "working" printed prototype. Since then, the drone has already passed about 7/8 optimization iterations, streamlining its broadly understood functionality from ease of assembly to parameters defining the flight itself (e.g., choosing the center of gravity, arrangement of elements, etc.). At the stage where everything works to the extent that meets my expectations, I can publish the whole project with a clear conscience. The order of printing of the elements does not matter. The "electronic" elements will be included below with simplification in the form of a list. As a material, I recommend PETG or ABS if someone can tame it. The model printed from PLA can be put on the shelf because it's not suitable for flight due to its fragility and sensitivity to temperature (including sunlight). All elements are recommended to be printed with a 0.2/0.3mm layer and supports. If you're looking for a step-by-step tutorial, I suggest searching for it online since every drone is built in almost the same way. Due to my low experience, I don't feel competent enough to explain it. The whole "ready to fly" model weighs less than 2kg with an already mounted GoPro Session camera and a 4s 2200mAh battery, giving us about 8 minutes of flight. For assembly, we need: * M3 imbus screw for body (6Pcs 30mm, 6Pcs 40mm, 1Pcs 8mm) * M3 imbus screw for motors (16Pcs 16mm) * M3 nut (13Pcs) * Motors (4Pcs - I've used EMAX 2216, with montage dimensions D=16/19mm) * ESC (4Pcs - I've used DYS 30a) * Distribution board with BEC * Flight controller (I've used CC3D Revolution) * Transmitter (FlySky i6) * Receiver * FPV transmitter (optional) * FPV receiver (I can suggest an OTG module for a mobile phone) * FPV camera (RunCam Eagle 2 works perfectly) * LiPo battery (I recommend 4s, with maximum dimensions 110x30x35mm)
