I'm not sure anyone will find this helpful but if so, it's a real lifesaver. My quick release plate's latch broke and I was stuck without the locking clip, leaving my camera vulnerable to slipping off at an odd angle. This clever solution prevents that from happening, essentially combining a circle with a hole in it attached to a rectangle.
