The project's primary intention is the transformation and replacement of an informal housing series present in the area. This ensures the appearance of new public spaces, under the essential condition of multiplying existing housing units. Additionally, Bogotá as a city requires urban focal points that help to have a clearer reading on the composition and orientation of the city. Therefore, the decision is made to take the "faro" principle as an element of identification, order, and guidance. Also, as a response to the need to establish a vertical point of identification and reference at a distance within the Minuto de Dios neighborhood. The project's program aims to promote urban interaction and the mixing of uses by proposing housing, commerce, and leisure spaces within a single complex. This has the objective of responding to the problems of the dispersed city, thereby reducing transportation, environmental, and urban fragmentation issues.
