Minty Boost 4xAA (3 V) Box

MintyBoost v3 box I designed to accommodate a 4xAA (2x pairs in series) Keystone aluminum battery bracket, sourced from Digikey under part number 36-182-ND. I implemented a slotted design to enhance cooling efficiency. A 1.5k resistor was connected across the usb output to power an LED, while a power button, also acquired from Digikey as PS1023BBLK, was added for user convenience. PETG and gorilla tape two-sided adhesive were used to assemble all components. The button and LED fit snugly in place without requiring additional adhesive. To further optimize heat distribution, I added a copper RAM heatsink to the mintyboost. This modification enables more even heat dissipation and enhances overall system performance.
