In ancient Greek mythology, a fearsome creature known as the Minotaur roamed free, its body a perfect blend of human and bull, with the head of a mighty bull atop a robust male torso. According to Roman poet Ovid's vivid description, this incredible being was comprised of equal parts man and beast. The Minotaur made its lair at the heart of the Labyrinth, an intricate maze-like structure skillfully crafted by the ingenious architect Daedalus and his son Icarus, who worked tirelessly under the orders of King Minos of Crete. Ultimately, it was the brave Athenian hero Theseus who put an end to the Minotaur's reign of terror.
