Minotaur 54mm
thingiverse
Back from a brief real life break, I recently completed this model late last month. Standing at 52 mm, the Minotaur figure towers over its surroundings at about 70mm tall. Inspired by the iconic KOBL Minotaur, it's recommended to use HIPS printing for optimal results with FFF machines. For a smoother print, dial down your speed and adjust as necessary. This model is specifically designed for HIPS printing, so be sure to check out their guide at https://timeportalgames.com/wp/. For 28mm fans, you can also grab this design through timeportalgames.com or on Shapeways at https://www.shapeways.com/shops/timeportalgames. ASSEMBLY REQUIRED: This figure requires some fine work with an Xacto blade, sandpaper, and superglue to assemble the weapons and shields properly. Here are some slicing settings to consider: layer height: .2mm or lower auto_support: 1-1.5mm or 40-50% HIPS fill Fill Density: at least 15% Other important notes: A glass plate with a slurry of HIPS can heat up to 100c without any issues. Many free designs are available on https://timeportalgames.com/. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 350000 poly Infill: 15% Notes: Printed with dissolvable filament, perfect for those who like to paint their models. Post-Printing Give your flesh areas a smooth touch-up with acetone, and add some acrylic paint to bring out the colors.
