Minolta SR/MC/MD Lens To Canon FL/FD/FDn Body Adapter

Introduced in 1958, Minolta's SR bayonet mount lens continued until 1998 with MC and MD compatible mounts. In 1964, Canon presented the FL lens mount for SLRs, also continuing through 1990 with FD compatibility. Now, an adapter enables usage of SR/MC/MD lenses on FL/FD bodies or FL/FD adapters for digital cameras like Sony NEX models. However, it doesn't fully lock and may interfere with some Lens Turbo mechanisms. Several iterations have been released to fix these issues, but a complete locking mechanism is still under development. Printed overhangs require tweezers to remove, and a light-blocking black filament is recommended due to NIR transparency of most synthetic dyes. The adapter has two indented holes for alignment with lenses and mounts; red paint on toothpick can be used for marking. Photos show the adapter in action, including use with a Minolta MC Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 lens and Canon FTb body, as well as a photo taken using an FD Lens Turbo and Sony NEX-7 camera. A soft black PLA material from MatterHacker is also a viable option for printing this adapter, providing opaque hard rubber-like dimensions and sealing.
