Minn Kota i-Pilot remote holder (+ stronger version)
thingiverse
This is a holder for the Minn Kota i-Pilot remote, designed to fit perfectly upside down as shown in pictures. You may wonder why you'd want to use the i-pilot this way - it's simple: when seated in reverse, pressing left makes the boat go left. For optimal results, we recommend using the reinforced version (ipilot_holder_w_stronger_clips.stl). Mounting is straightforward: use 4 screws or 2 cable ties. Update February 26, 2018: A new version with stronger clips has been added. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 Infill: z < 9mm @ 40% z >= 9mm @ 100% Notes: I used the "Swap at Z 1.1" plugin for Cura to modify infill settings at z=9mm to 100%, resulting in robust clips without excess filament usage. Edit: After a clip broke off due to a low-height fall, I adjusted the z-value from 11mm to 9mm. PLA was used for printing, but PETG or ABS might be a better choice.
