I'm revamping a segment of the Ministry of Magic, specifically a repeating window pillar that can be easily duplicated within the game engine. To boost efficiency, I designed and modeled this element from scratch using Maya. This was my first time employing the quad draw technique for retopologizing the low-poly version, which ultimately yielded around 760 triangles. Next, I transported the model to Substance Painter, where I utilized my base brick material – crafted in Substance Designer – as the primary texture. Once in the engine, I'll be adding cube mapping to the windows to create the illusion of interiors.
