Minisaurs are a blast to have around, with jaws that can snap shut in an instant! They're incredibly useful as a peg, clip, or clamp around the house, workshop, or office. Well-designed Minisaurs will effortlessly snap their jaws closed when you gently hold the tail and flick the legs. Their massive bite is surprisingly strong considering their compact size! Measuring just 75mm long at standard scale, Minisaurs are small enough to use as a fun key fob that can even be clipped onto things to keep your keys organized. With precise machines, they should print perfectly at this size and snap their jaws freely off the build plate. If you're experiencing issues with the jaws not moving, try uniformly scaling up the Minisaur's file by a small amount (which will increase clearances) or 5-10%. This will still result in a relatively small print. To maximize fun, scale up your Minisaurs! The posted file is the smallest recommended size for printing, and they work great at larger scales. Try 125%, 150%, or even 200% - the bigger you print them, the stronger their bite and louder their jaws snap. Always remember to scale uniformly. Minisaurs are a fully enclosed print with an internal spring section that makes the jaw action "snap" when printed with higher than usual shells and infill. At standard scale, aim for 3 shells or 35% infill or more. As you increase size, you can reduce infill. These little creatures are great fun to fidget with and make a wonderful gift! Print them in your favorite colors and have fun watching them snap their jaws shut! Check out the print settings and images for additional tips, and don't forget to share photos of your Minisaurs with the community.
