MiniQuad 3.7
thingiverse
I want to build a high-performance quadcopter that can excel in both indoor and outdoor environments. I was drawn to two impressive models: the MXQ_105_Micro_FPV_Quad, which boasts advanced flight controller support, and the FireFlo v3, renowned for its exceptional frame design and anti-vibration dampers. I decided to merge the best features of these two designs into a single, optimized quadcopter. After careful testing, I'm thrilled to report that it flies remarkably well. Now, I need to focus on perfecting my piloting skills. I've equipped my quadcopter with a Micro Skystar flight controller, 8.5 brushed motors, and a high-capacity 750 mAh battery. The frame itself weighs approximately 10-11 grams, thanks to the inclusion of anti-vibration dampers. When combined with the battery, the total weight of my miniquad comes in at 64.5 grams. To further enhance performance, I plan to switch to a more efficient 500 mAh battery, which should not only increase flying time but also reduce the overall weight to around 60 grams. Additionally, I'll be swapping out the JST plug for a Walkera plug on my Skystar flight controller. The quadcopter's diagonal dimension measures 110mm, providing ample stability and maneuverability. For FPV enthusiasts like myself, I've chosen a high-quality combo featuring the FX797T camera and F408 receiver. To fine-tune my setup, I've uploaded model1.ini to my Devo 7E transmitter and configured it for optimal performance using the original dump profile from Cleanflight. The MiniQuad-3.7.1up.stl file is a reinforced version designed for maximum durability. To take my quadcopter's performance to the next level, I've also upgraded the propellers and achieved an impressive 5-minute flight time increase.
