MinionD Ender 5 Dual Duct | Remix
thingiverse
This is a remix of vortexpc's MinionD Ender 3 for the Ender 5. This remix has been modified for reverse airflow cooling. The idea of reverse airflow cooling came from gibbed's eB Fan shroud for Ender 3: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3419531 I initially was using that design but there was some downfalls: 1. Potential for hot end wobble 2. Cooling was only 1 sided vortexpc's Minion D uses a much better mounting and cooling solution so I remixed that and incorporated the idea of reverse airflow. The changes I made are: - Remove the side vents and place a single vent on each side towards the back to force more air through the cold end - Modify the part fan cooling mount so that I could mount my 4010 blower with my stock screws This can also be used like a normal shroud, just flip the fan around so that it blows air into the cold end. The reason I use reverse airflow is so that I don't have any downdraft air from the cold end fan when printing PETG. I am still in the process of testing to make sure I don't have heat creep with the reverse airflow so please use this design at your own risk.
