Minimalistic Xbox Controller Stand
prusaprinters
This is an original design that prints fast. It fits Xbox Series S, X, and One controllers perfectly. It could fit other controllers too. Print in your favorite color and put stickers on the flat front, or model a raised logo in tinkercad, and position it on the front with a manual color swap (see dragon and sea monster links below for examples). There are two versions here. One is 40mm wide and one is 58mm wide, for more stability but a 10 min longer print time. Two of the pictures show the 58mm, which is printed in a darker blue, the rest show the 40mm version style.I also have other controller stand Items I made similar to this:Dragon version Loch Ness versionKit Card versionPalword Egg versionSpace Saving:This is designed to be as desktop space saving as possible. It orients the controller vertically and positions it with the feet just above the table, and the front to back distance is small so controllers can now fit in areas they could not before. The center of gravity is equidistant to the front and back.Design Features:The design minimizes layer lines because the curves are all on the sides of the print and not the top. You print this with the front of the stand facing up to the sky. You could also modify this and easily then place a sticker on the front of the controller since the that is the top and it is flat, or do a color change there and add/print a logo. You could modify in the slicer and make it wider with a larger base from left to right by scaling that dimention but no other dimensions. (Just don't change the curve shape.)All edges are not sharp and chamfered with curves where possible and with a 45 degree chamfer on the backside edges. The curve fits the controller back perfectly and was tested over several iterations and prototypes. It is 40mm wide (or 58mm wide version) and only 57mm deep. The feet are only a few mm above the table.Prints with no supports or brim in 1 hr 26 minutes (1hr 40 minutes for 58mm version).Alternate Design for Larger Battery Packs:There is also a file here with a small cutout in the top that fits PowerA sized rechargeable batteries, although I use those packs and prefer the normal design. One of the pics shows it in army green.Printing orientation:Print with the back on the plate (with the flat front of the stand facing up to the sky)Prusaslicer settings:3 perimeters4 solid layers top and bottomensure vertical shell thickness onuse .25 layer height and then use variable layer height slicer option so the curved part looks icy smooth!infill of 15% with cubic infill patterntop fill pattern of aligned rectilinearbottom fill pattern of rectilinearno support or brim
