Minimalistic Whoop (Blade Inductrix clone, Brushless, Uruav, UK65, US65 65mm quad frame)
thingiverse
So, like me, you bought a tiny Whoop or similar, were blown away by how fast it soars up and shocked by the fact that it descends even quicker? Realized that the delivery time for spare frames is excessively long? Well this one's for you! Introducing the Minimalistic Whoop. It features a sleek flat layout, extremely easy to print and optionally super light (and slightly hazardous) open blade frame. The frame fits the battery snugly in between the base plate and circuit board. If your printer doesn't handle bridges well, make sure to use support and file off any sharp residues from the support structure to ensure a tight fit for your 1S LiPo battery. There's an option to add prop guards, which are pressed onto the mounts and then secured with a drop of CA glue if you want to make the installation permanent. They also make excellent cat glasses! See pictures for proof. The original frame weighs in at approximately 3.5 grams, while the suicide version of the frame weighs about 2.8 grams, printed in ABS. With the prop guards, it exceeds 5 grams. I might design thinner prop guards and shave off some excess structures in the future. When threading the screws for the first time, I find it best to ever so slightly heat up the structure with a heat gun. Note, you will need to program your flight controller before mounting it to the frame, as I forgot to leave room around the mini USB port.
