Minimalistic Filament Monitor
thingiverse
This minimalist design for an end-of-filament monitor is deliberately understated. Its low weight allows it to be easily dropped into the filament's path at any time. It can be directly connected to the printer controls, which pauses the print if supported by firmware, giving you ample time to replace the filament. Materials needed: 1. A microswitch (preferably with a wheel, but a bent hinge will also work) 2. A zip strap 3. Some wire and plugs to connect to the controls
