Minimalistic Ender 3 fan mount - Ender 5 mod
thingiverse
I always observed a slight wobble on the right side, where the body only makes contact with the aluminum plate. This wobble was also transferred to the part fan. And I believe every loose component on a fast-moving printer head may potentially degrade print quality, especially when printing at higher speeds. My Ender 5 has a 3.2mm slot near the position of the right strut. So, I made a small modification that allows fixing the construction on this side with two additional screws. You'll need two M3x8mm screws and two nuts to complete this process. The mounting procedure may be a bit tricky due to limited space on the backside. Secondly, another advantage of this modification is that I no longer require printing with a brim. I also made a second modification by cutting out a small section on the left side at the position where the Ender 5 mounts the X-belt. As I don't use Fusion, I created the modification using DesignSpark Mechanical and have included the source file for download.
