Minimalistic Board Game Card Display
thingiverse
These are what I made to display cards during a board game. I made it with Clank! in mind, but honestly, it works for anything like Wingspan or even just putting pictures on your desk without making anything permanent or damaging your desk. They are very light (the singles weigh a little less than 2 grams each, the doubles a little less than 4) with t-shaped balancers on the back so they don't fall backward. Since they are so light, there may be a problem with them moving. If so, putting a pencil across the backs solves the problem. Also, they stack! They don't come all the way down to be flush with the last one when stacking, and they are liable to fall over when stacked, but the stacking saves a lot of space, so you can throw this in with your game of Clank and have no problems with space. You probably want to print out the left and right ends. Those each don't have attachment points on one side or the other so it looks cleaner. The "single" and "double" files are what you print out to lengthen the entire structure. They have attachment points on both sides. The double is... twice as long as the single. It moves less and is a bit sturdier, but takes up more space in a game box. For Clank!, I would print the ends and two doubles if you aren't worrying about space, and four singles if you want it all to fit neatly into the box (especially if you have expansions in there) Each single piece is about the width of a standard Clank! card (same size as Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Star Realms, etc), and is a-okay with a sleeve. There are supports in the middle of each so that smaller cards can also be used, as well as for stability's sake. The only supports that print on the model are under the hole on the left side of most pieces where the attachment point is. It won't add more than a minute or two to the print. My printer was able to print this without the supports, so if you so choose, you can be brave and take them off.
