Minimalistic bike brake lever

We take no responsibility for this thing whatsoever! Use it at your own risk, and proceed with caution! This experiment began with a bike that had no brakes. It looked sleek but was incredibly foolish to ride in traffic or anywhere else. We wanted to see if we could create a simple and discreet front brake lever since most of the ones we've seen are extremely ugly. This is a simplification as it's the smallest amount of volume and visual impact we could get to work, however we make no promises on this. Safety and self-preservation are not included. This design will only work with centre-pull caliper brakes or similar systems. Print one clip and one lever, then attach them using an M4 bolt and a locknut. 2017-01-25 Proof of concept. First test period completed. Hardware required: 35mm long M4 bolt and a locknut. Designing a lower profile clip. 2017-10-09 The test lever broke today! It had been kept outside for a few weeks, and this morning was especially cold. A new lever will be printed, maybe in PET or ABS. Or maybe just with 100% infill. If anyone decides to try this, we would really appreciate any input you might have.
