Minimalistic Adjustable QI Charger Stand

Minimalistic Adjustable QI Charger Stand

I've had a Qi wireless charger for my phones for two years now and my wife got a new case that's thicker than our old one, so it couldn't charge her phone anymore. I took the charger apart and made a new casing for it by taking off just 1-2 millimeters of space between the coil and the phone. It somewhat worked but moving the coil right up against the phone case did the trick perfectly, I guess we were close to the 5-7mm range for wireless charging on her case. So, I used some extra parts from around the house and made a stand using a 3D printer to hold the charging circuit board and it's really easy but looks amazing. You can use any Qi charger just adjust the size of the clip so you can install it. Here are all the pieces we need: * PowerBot Qi Wireless Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F6SQ1D6 * 120mm by 3mm steel rods (these are really cool) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JR5FUQ8 * 6-32 thumb screws (just like ours) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005AYSO18 * four 6-32 nuts that you can find at any hardware store FreeCAD source is also available.
