Minimalist uBITX Speaker
thingiverse
A low-cost speaker upgrade for the uBITX transceiver, achieved by utilizing a compact 2.5-inch, 2-watt speaker from allelectronics.com. This budget-friendly solution is perfect for those looking to enhance their amateur radio setup without breaking the bank. The speaker is securely fastened within the case using hot glue, while the remaining stereo cable is repurposed as a microphone by cutting it in half and attaching it to its support block with hot glue, providing essential strain relief. To ensure a sturdy build, #4 5/64 inch screws are used to fasten the back of the enclosure. For the curious DIY enthusiast, the OpenSCAD code is included for further modifications or customization of the design.
