Minimalist Mask/Ear Strain Relief

Minimalist Mask/Ear Strain Relief

Made with the assistance of the UMD-Duluth FSAE team. Weighing in at nearly half the weight of its original counterpart, this version boasts an improved rigidity while tipping the scales at just 2 grams total. This means we can produce more masks for those who need them most. The design features staggered legs to minimize bed space needed per mask strain relief. The diagonal layout also provides a bit of play by angle and allows users to adjust tension to their liking. An added feature is opposing lugs that enable you to use a rubber band to secure the mask straps in case of sudden changes or loss of tension. The Solidworks model will be available once I complete a worthy prototype.
