Minimalist LACK Joiner
prusaprinters

There are lots of ways to connect two IKEA LACK tables on here, but I wanted to try something a bit more minimalist and simple. It's designed to keep the tables together neatly and safely, but not to increase the height or weight bearing properties of the unit.

I suggest printing one per leg in PET-G. If you're looking for somewhere to keep a Prusa printer, making it out of Prusa orange PET-G looks great with a pair of black LACK tables.

I used 3x16mm wood screws, but the sizes can be tweaked easily in the OpenSCAD file. There are variables for;

screw_length
- the threaded part, so on a 3x16mm screw, this is the 16.

screw_hole_size_outer
- the diameter of the head of the screw.

screw_hole_size_inner
- the diameter of the threaded part, so, on a 3x16mm screw, this is the 3.

screw_head_length
- the horizontal length of the head.

The thickness is 3mm, which will break easily if overtightened, so be careful when assembling. If you prefer, there's a
thickness
variable in the OpenSCAD file you can tweak, but be sure to check how your screws will work if you do this.
