Minimalist CubeSat
grabcad
The CubeSat requires assembly of 20 components, including four main panels, two side panels, and two top panels. It also features eight M2 x 12mm Flat-Head Socket Cap Screws and eight M2 Hex Nuts for added security. Special snap connectors facilitate attachment of external solar panels. However, the designer opted for screws and nuts instead of snap connectors due to concerns about structural integrity. Additive manufacturing through Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is employed using glass or carbon-filled PEEK material. The kit does not include a payload, mountings, wiring, deployment switch, or separation springs; these must be purchased separately. Solar panel designs are provided by GomSpace (http://gomspace.com/).
