This model works well for various projects, including my spider spool. It's designed for an 8 mm threaded rod with a built-in nut option, but can be customized for other diameters like a chopstick. The customizer feature allows adjusting the diameter on thumb wheels and includes a default setting of 75mm. The openscad source code is useful for creating a robust and parametric hook with changeable constants. The rod is held tightly without a nut due to its snug fit, but a support can be removed if desired through the customizer. A rim helps with bed adhesion, and recommended printing settings are 0.8mm walls and 20% infill. An update includes the main star and counter-nut for larger rolls.
