Minimalist belt tensioner (replaces tensioning springs)

Minimalist belt tensioner (replaces tensioning springs)

thingiverse

A clever little belt tensioner. This utilizes a zip tie for tightening, and boasts no sharp edges that the belt can wear against. Simply print your preferred size (file name indicates how much the tensioner can tighten each belt). Slip the main component of the tensioner over the belt, and feed a zip tie through the hole, around the belt and through the small part. Then just snug it up. I designed this as an easy way to evenly tighten the three belts on my Kossel, but it's applicable to all printers that use those tiny spring tensioners. It does require supports, but the supported area doesn't have to look polished.
