A remix of the excellent fume extractor by rdmmkr: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3474360 Update 7/8/2019: I need to upgrade my boost board and battery board to power a bigger fan. My current 2A boost board only provides around 0.5A after boosting 4v to 12v, which isn't enough to power most fans over 80x38mm that require over 0.8A. I'll need a boost board with more than 3.5A to power one of these fans. Original Text: This adds space (14 mm) to the bottom for the rear micro USB port, rechargeable lithium battery, lithium charging board, and boost converter. The design is extremely tight, but now my fume extractor can be used untethered from cables! I tried to maintain the original aesthetic by rdmmkr as much as possible. The main downside is that it will be less powerful than rdmmaker's because he uses a 2.3 amp fan. Currently, I'm using a noctua that I had lying around, but I'm looking into an 80x38mm fan that can be powered by my boost board to increase the power (my boost board won't handle 2.3A). The noctua can pull through one layer of carbon and suck fumes if you're pretty near to it, but I definitely want something stronger. Note: I revised some small things from when I printed mine. It gives 2mm extra width in the battery compartment, revises the holes that link the board compartments (under the fan) to the battery compartment, and adjusts the size of the holes that the brass knurls go into. I haven't reprinted the model since these changes, so please let me know if you have any issues. Parts: 1 - 80mm Fan up to 38mm thick. I'm currently using a noctua, but looking to upgrade to an 80x38mm stronger fan. 4 - fan screws (usually come with fans; I had a bunch laying around) 1 - 3mm LED + Resistor: I used a pretty high resistor, just wanted it to barely be on so it didn't shine in my eyes while I worked.
